Every lab day is packed: checking inventory, monitoring freezers, recording notes, printing labels, and managing orders. LabCollector has always helped organize this busy flow. With version 6.305, those daily routines become faster, smarter, and easier to manage.
eLabels Manager for real-time lab displays
eLabels Manager brings digital, real-time labeling into your lab by connecting Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) to LabCollector. Labels can display live information for samples, equipment, cages, or storage locations, all managed from a central interface.
Updating a record in LabCollector instantly updates the corresponding eLabel, keeping information accurate and visible without relying on paper labels.

Flexible exports for better process control
Exports are now more configurable with the ability to edit and select process fields before exporting. Instead of exporting all available data, users can choose exactly which fields to include.
For instance, when sharing results with collaborators or QC teams, only relevant fields like sample ID, result, and project code can be exported, keeping files clean and focused.

Memorized links for faster data entry
Linking records is now quicker with the memorize links option. Frequently used records can be saved and reused instantly, avoiding repetitive searches and speeding up data entry across modules.
This is especially useful for recurring references such as control samples, standard reagents, or shared equipment used across multiple experiments.

Improved Storage Browser for flexible containers
Managing storage is now more flexible with support for bags and no-grid containers. Items can be added directly from the Storage Browser, without switching modules or opening separate records.
For example, when storing tubes in cryo bags or mixed containers, samples can be added on the spot without navigating away, making daily storage updates much faster.

Dynamic field dependencies for smarter forms
Custom fields can now be configured with dependencies based on selected values. Only relevant fields are displayed depending on user input, reducing clutter and making forms easier to complete.
For example, selecting a specific disease or sample type can automatically reveal only the associated parameters, avoiding long and confusing forms.

A vertical menu for faster starts
Your day often begins with the same tasks: opening Inventory, checking Storage, or reviewing Orders. The new vertical menu bar makes these actions immediate. You can pin the modules you use most or even specific records for direct access. If your team prefers the older layout, the classic horizontal menu is still available in user preferences.

AI Chatbot & smarter writing support
Questions always come up during experiments. The built-in AI chatbot now provides quick guidance without leaving LabCollector. And when documenting protocols or notes, the upgraded Trinka AI offers contextual suggestions that make writing clearer and more precise.

Storage Browser optimized for large collections
Finding the right sample in a sea of boxes takes time. The improved Storage Browser now loads up to 30 boxes per page, making navigation much smoother. For teams using detailed lab maps, the option to import a Lab Plan provides a simple reference that aligns digital storage positions with the lab layout.

Infrared Spectra integrated in Molecules Structures
Chemists and biologists working with compound data can now store more in one place. With IR spectra support, spectra files are uploaded and viewed directly in Molecule records. Structural information and analytical data stay together, ready for review at any moment.

To-Do Lists on your homepage
Deadlines and scheduled experiments are easier to track with the To-Do tab. Available with the Event Calendar add-on, it brings tasks directly onto the LabCollector homepage. Instead of scattered reminders, your daily priorities are now organized in one central view.

Label printing and smarter unique codes
Precise labeling is central to traceability. Version 6.3 introduces more flexible label printing, so formats can be adapted to tubes, racks, boxes, or instruments. Together with the improved unique code system, identifiers can now combine multiple fields such as project ID, aliquot, or site code to ensure clarity across collaborations.

Stronger and faster backend
Behind the scenes, LabCollector v6.3 also delivers better performance and security. With the latest PHP support, asset domain protection, and optimizations across the platform, you can trust that your lab data remains both safe and fast to access.

Why v6.305 matters
Version 6.305 is built around the way labs actually work. A faster start in the morning, instant AI help during experiments, smoother storage browsing, integrated scientific data, flexible labeling, and more reliable order tracking, all these small gains add up to real productivity improvements.
